Due to external funding that in part defrays the basic costs of the ICRS, we are in the fortunate position to offer a limited number of stipends to cover the registration fees of early career scientists.

 

The stipend will completely defray ICRS registration fee. Please note that this covers in addition to participation in all sessions, also 4 nights accommodation, all meals and coffee pauses.
 
All stipend recipients will be eligible for all congress activities, just as as if they had payed the regular fees.
 
All stipend recipients will be accommodated in twin share rooms (separate beds).

 
Those wishing to apply are asked to send a short rationale stating why they are not able to cover the fees on their own, together with a CV and abstract of their intended contribution to info@respiratory-science.org. Note that this is a preliminary abstract for stipend application only, and is not in lieu of an official registration for the meeting and submission of a final abstract at that time. In your application please be sure to explicitly state your current educational (B.Sc., B.A., M.Sc., M.A., Ph.D.-candidate; post-doc) and economic status (unemployed; fellowship; fixed-term position; tenured position).
 
Deadline for the submission of stipend applications is March 31st, 2014. Please note: as we realize that your participation may be contingent on whether or not you receive a stipend, it is possible to apply for a stipend before registering for the ICRS. However, in case of a positive evaluation of the application, applicants have to definitely register for the ICRS within a week following notification. Failure to do this will result in the loss of the stipend.
